Rajeshwari Gaikwad was born on 1 June 1991 in Bijapur, Karnataka. She got interested to cricket at an early age, while she used to play javelin and disc throw in her childhood, then she started playing cricket at the age of 11. She made her debut for Karnataka in the 2009–10 season and made her debut for the Indian women’s cricket team against Sri Lanka in 2014. Since then she has been a regular member of the team.
