Azmatullah Omarzai is an Afghan international cricketer who plays for the Afghanistan national cricket team as an all-rounder, he is a right-arm medium fast blower and a right-handed batsman. He made his international debut for the Afghanistan national cricket team in 21 January 2021 against Ireland.

Omarzai made his debut in domestic cricket in 2017 and in international cricket in 2021. He is currently a regular part of the Afghanistan cricket team in all formats of domestic cricket and ODI and T20I formats in international cricket. Omarzai plays for Mis Ainak Region team in state level cricket and Peshawar Zalmi in Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Impressive performances in his domestic cricket earned him a chance to play for the Afghanistan national cricket team. In December 2017, Omarzai was included in Afghanistan’s squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In December 2018, Azmatullah was also named in Afghanistan’s under-23 squad for the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. In November 2019, Omarzai was included in Afghanistan’s squad for the 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Bangladesh. Azmatullah made his One Day International (ODI) debut for Afghanistan on 21 January 2021 against Ireland. He made his T20 International debut for Afghanistan on 3 March 2022, playing against Bangladesh.

Azmatullah was interested in cricket since childhood, he started playing cricket in his childhood.
