Indian cricket player Harshal Patel captains Haryana in domestic cricket and plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. He can bowl right-arm medium quick and bat right-handed. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), young fast bowler Harshal Patel is well-known for his quick bowling. On November 23, 1990, he was born in Sanand, Gujarat, India. Cricket has always piqued his interest, and at the age of eight, he began taking lessons from coach Tarak Trivedi. In addition to playing cricket, Harshal Patel pursued his education and completed his high school education at the Gujarati school.

In 2005, Harshal Patel’s entire family relocated to the USA, but his elder brother Tapan Patel told him he was in India playing cricket. Following this, he focused solely on cricket, and in 2008, Harshal Patel became a member of the Forceful Cricket Club, participating in the Cricket League of New Jersey (CLNJ). That same 2008–09 season, Harshal Patel had 23 wickets in all and was invited to play for the India Under-19 team.

Tarak Trivedi, Harshal Patel’s coach, had a major role in his development as a cricket player. When Patel was just starting out, his coach persuaded the family to stay in India so Patel could concentrate on his cricket career, even though they were eager to relocate to the United States. Patel, a Gujarati, excelled at the Under-19 level but was passed over for the first team by the state selectors.

But Patel relocated to Haryana, where he was supervised by former England cricket player Ian Pont, who helped him hone his abilities. He finally made his Haryana first-class debut against Delhi in 2011, finishing the campaign with 28 wickets from 7 games. Harshal was selected by RCB for the 2012 IPL season after being selected by the Mumbai Indians in 2010. He played for the RCB until 2017, at which point he joined the Delhi Daredevils for the 2018 season.

An untrustworthy client Harshal was able to remain on the periphery of the formidable RCB team, but ultimately he was unable to extend his innings because of the unfavourable conditions at Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, he continued to perform well at the home level. After recovering from an injury, Harshal took 22 wickets from 8 games in the 2015–16 season. In the 2013–14 Ranji Trophy, he finished with 29 wickets from 8 games at a pitiful average of 23.75.

After a brief stay with the Delhi Capitals, he was traded to Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the 2021 Indian Premier League. With 32 wickets at the end of the IPL season, he shared the most with Dwayne Bravo in what proved to be a breakthrough year. He received praise for his proficiency with the dipping yorker and several slower variations.
