On September 13, 2001, Robin Minz was born in Gumla, a Jharkhand district dominated by tribes. However, his childhood was spent in Namkum, Ranchi. Robin Minz’s early education took place in Ranchi. He received his schooling from Majarolo Convent School, Namkum. Robin has studied till 10th class. Later he devoted all his time to cricket and took training to play professional cricket in Ranchi.

After hard work at Namkum Ground, Robin started playing matches in Gumla District Cricket Team. He also played many matches with local teams. He surprised everyone by hitting long sixes. Since then people also started calling him Gayle of Ranchi. Robin Minz has batted wicketkeeper in Jharkhand’s Under-19 and Under-25 teams. Robin scored 60 runs and hit five sixes in his first under-19 match in an open trial in the 2020-21 season. Robin impressed everyone with his explosive batting in the Inter District Cricket Tournament held under the aegis of Jharkhand State Cricket Association. He hits big shots. Scored 73 runs in 35 balls in the T20 tournament in Odisha in 2022.
In the last few years, Robin has played more than one innings. He scored two back to back centuries in Deoghar. Robin was called for trials by IPL team Delhi Capitals last year. But then he could not become a part of the Delhi team. Later, five-time IPL champion Mumbai Indians selected Robin for the England tour for training. Where he performed excellently. Robin Minz remained unsold in the 2023 IPL auction. However, he did not give up and continued working hard. The result of which he got in the mini auction of 2024 IPL. Robin’s father told in an interview that MS Dhoni had once told him at the airport that if no team picked Robin in the IPL 2024 auction, then Dhoni would ensure that Chennai Super Kings would pick him. Now Robin would like to capitalize on this opportunity in the best way and make a name for himself at the international level.
